Who we are…
The Triple Crown & Crown Jewel of DanceSport Championships is a series of four weeklong competitive ballroom dancing conventions produced by Dance Consultants Unlimited, Inc. (DCU, Inc.) of which Larry and Dianne Dean are the Owners.

DCU, Inc. will be celebrating its 46th year beginning March of 2017. The Triple Crown DanceSport Championships’ year (series) begins with the South Open, goes through the Southern States and Crown Jewel Of Dancesport, and ends with the Florida State.

The South Open DanceSport Championships
(The First ‘Jewel’ of the Triple Crown Series) was being held at The Beau Rivage Resort & Casino on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in Biloxi until hurricane Katrina. It varies locations within the Southeast. Prior hosting cities/venues include The Westin Resort in Hilton Head Island, SC, The Peabody Hotel in Orlando, FL, The Pier 66 in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and the Ritz – Carlton – Grande Lakes in Orlando. We are currently at the Renaissance Orlando Hotel At SeaWorld in Orlando, FL. 2018 event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Airport.

The Southern States DanceSport Championships
(The Second ‘Jewel’ of the Triple Crown Series) has been held at the Peabody in Memphis, TN and J W Marroitt Hotel in New Orleans, LA.,and is currently being held at The Ritz – Carlton in New Orleans. This event also host a “Bal Masque” on Thursday evening and cash awards are given to the winners in 8 divisions.

The Crown Jewel Of Dancesport
(The Third and Newest ‘Jewel’ of the Triple Crown Series) Has been held at the Eden Roc in Miami and at The Ritz-Carlton in Ft. Lauderdale Beach, Fl. and currently being held at the Turnberry Isles Resort and Spa in Aventura, Fl. This event has been canncelled for 2018 Will return in 2019

The Florida State DanceSport Championships
(The Final ‘Jewel’ of the Triple Crown Series) has been for the last 16 years, held at The Ritz Carlton in Sarasota, FL. This convention, has a long tradition of being held at 5-Star, 5-Diamond resorts such as The Boca Raton Resort & Private Club and The Breakers Hotel.
